Red Moon Road - Simple Kind of Christmas

8:00 PM /
West End Cultural Centre
Psssst, Red Moon Road is doing a Christmas show. This is amazing holiday news! "We wanted to bring some holiday cheer to our fans with a fun new album to help keep our community -and us- in good spirits." writes Daniel Jordan.
Their original song “Simple Kind of Christmas" started with something Daniel Jordan brought in, reflecting on how simplifying and appreciating things we already have, has never felt so important. "We hope that there might be some good changes to come from this pandemic experience and maybe some more compassion and focus on what is important; as we wish for in the song: “this too shall pass and well see you at a show, until then please safe and have yourself… A Simple Kind ofChristmas."
A Simple Kind of Christmas is a part of their trilingual Holiday album featuring some traditional favorites and two original songs. Sheena Rattai, lead vocalist writes "We were pleased when we realized this is our first tri-lingual album, with Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner singing “Il est ne le divin enfant” in French, his mother tongue, and myself singing “Oh Tannenbaum” in German, a family tradition passed down from my Oma as well as Daniel Jordan’s family."
In 2023 the band added three new songs and printed the album on a limited run of clear red vinyl. Available on tour and online.
